Hawaii's 7-Elevens are a category of their own, and Waikiki visitors quickly figure out that the corner convenience store under the green-and-orange sign is one of the cheapest, most underrated breakfast and snack stops on the island. Cases by the door are stocked all day with fresh-made Spam musubi (the classic, plus Spam-egg, mochiko chicken, and Spicy Ahi inari), pork hash, manapua, andagi, bentos, and roller-grilled Portuguese sausage links. A musubi runs about $3, a full meal is rarely more than $8, and most locations on Kalakaua and Kuhio are open 24 hours. Locals stop by for breakfast on the way to work, and budget-conscious tourists discover it on day two of their trip and never look back.
"The Spam musubi at 7-Eleven Hawaii is genuinely amazing. Three bucks, fresh-made every day, and better than half the sit-down places."
