SkyBox (officially Skybox Taphouse) lives on the same third-floor Grand Lanai of International Market Place as Shorefyre, but plays a very different game once the sun drops. Twenty-plus screens, hand-crafted pizzas, and house Skybox Blonde and Hazy IPA on tap make it a daytime sports bar; at 9 p.m. every night it flips into a karaoke room that runs until 2 a.m. The pull here is the regulars: a rotating cast of off-duty Waikiki bartenders, hotel singers, and local karaoke devotees who routinely turn the mic into something closer to a live show than a sing-along. The crowd is friendly, mixed-age, and forgiving — tourists who sign up are cheered on, but the room knows when somebody good steps up. Expect Italian-American pub food, cold beer, and one of the best late-night casual hangs in IMP.
"Easy going friendly hangout. Karaoke every night, some of the best regular singers around, great pizza and cold beer — the staff make you feel like a local within ten minutes."
Karaoke runs nightly 9 p.m.–2 a.m.; sign up at the bar. Happy hour Monday–Friday 3–6 p.m. brings $5 domestic pints, $7 local drafts, $11 cocktails, and discounted pupus. Wednesday at 7 p.m. is trivia night before karaoke kicks in. Kitchen serves until 1 a.m. Order a Skybox Blonde or Hazy IPA from the house taps, the hand-tossed pepperoni pizza, the wings, and the meatball sliders. Big-fight and big-game nights pack the screens before the mic comes out.
