Waikiki Trolley

Hop-On/Hop-Off
4.2 352 on Google Maps $25-45/day

Operating since 1986, the Waikiki Trolley is a hop-on/hop-off open-air tourist trolley with four color-coded lines that fan out from the Waikiki Shopping Plaza on Kalakaua Avenue. The Green Line is a direct shuttle to the Diamond Head trailhead and KCC Farmers Market. The Pink Line runs every 10 minutes between Waikiki and Ala Moana Center, the most useful for shoppers. The Red Line covers historic downtown stops, 'Iolani Palace, the Kawaiaha'o Church, Punchbowl National Cemetery, and Chinatown, with live narration. The Blue Line follows the coastline east to Hanauma Bay, Halona Blowhole, and Sea Life Park. Single-line day passes start at $25; a 7-day all-line pass is $75. Drivers double as guides, schedules and live tracking are in the trolley app. Best for first-timers who want context with their sightseeing.

"Our guide Sam was entertaining and informative, knew the history of every stop, and made the ride part of the attraction. The all-line 4-day pass let us do downtown, Diamond Head, and the east coast at our own pace."
